It’s Holy Week! This Sunday CPC will Join First Presbyterian for Palm Sunday Worship. Services start at 10:30 AM. THERE WILL BE NO SERVICES 3/20 AT CPC! The Final Lesson of the Lenten Bible Study series will happen during out Thursday Noon Potluck. Our Maundy Thursday Worship, with a meal and Communion will be 3/24 at 6pm. CPC will join First again for a Good Friday Service in their Chapel 3/25 at 5:30pm. Easter Sunday will begin at 8 am with a Sunrise Breakfast. The Easter Egg Hunt will be at 9am. Easter Worship will begin at a special time of 10am! Easter Sunday we’ll be collecting the One Great Hour of Sharing offering. We hope to see you as we celebrate our risen Lord!
Lenten Bible Study
Lent is a time for reflection and growth. This year we at Central will be looking at The Lord’s Prayer. If you don’t already, come join us for lunchtime conversations each Thursday at noon. If we have your email address, watch for special emails during Lent. If we have your mailing address, your copy will be coming soon. If you’re not currently on our mailing list, and would like to be, feel free to contact us! We’ll also be hosting the study materials on the bottom of this page!
Shrove Tuesday & Ash Wednesday
Central Presbyterian will be holding it’s Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on February 9th @ 5:30 pm! The cost is $7 per person & $15 per family (Limit 4). Our Ash Wednesday Service will be at Noon on February 10th. An Evening Ash Wednesday Service will be available at First Presbyterian @ 5:30 pm. We hope you can celebrate the beginning of the Lent Season.
Men’s Chili Fundraiser!
The Men’s Chili Luncheon will be Saturday Jan. 30th at 11 am. The cost will be $7 per person and $20 per family of 3 or more. To go orders will be available for purchase! The proceeds raised will go toward various projects around the church and fund the Men’s bi-annual retreat. The men have previously used funds raised to paint the fences around the building, construct the VBS mural, and sponsor children at Christmas. We thank everyone for their support and hope to see everyone there!

During this Advent season, we reflect on the Influence a promise can have on our lives. God promised each of us salvation, and kept that promise with the birth of Jesus. That promise sustains and uplifts us, during good times and challenging ones.

Advent Season 2015
Advent Season is upon us once again! To prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ birth Central Presbyterian has a month full of activities! We’ll begin with the Annual Moravian Love Feast on 11/29. This traditional meal of sweet breads will be accompanied by a performance of the Moravian Love Feast Band. Our Christmas Cantata will be 12/20 this year. It will be a joint performance of the Central, First, and Faith Presbyterian Church Choirs. Finally we’ll be holding our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:30 pm on Christmas Eve. We hope to see you during this wonderful season!

PW Bake Sale
The Annual Presbyterian Women Bake Sale Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, November 21st at 9am in McElyea Hall! We’ll have a variety of Baked goods and “Gently” used items. Your contributions will help fund PW’s work with Neighbor to Neighbor, CASA, the Salvation Army, and Vera Lloyd. See Betty Coles for more information. We hope to see you there!
Trunk or Treat & Heritage Sunday
Truck or Treat returns Saturday, October 31st! We’ll be opening out Trunks for Treats of all ages starting at 3pm till 5pm! We hope a lot of our neighborhood children start their night with us! We can’t wait to see you there!!
UPDATE: We will be having Trunk or Treat RAIN OR SHINE! If it rains we will move the “trunks” into the Education wing. See you there!

The next day will be Heritage Sunday. It’s our annual joint worship service with the other two PC(USA) congregations in Pine Bluff. This year we will be worshiping at Faith Presbyterian Church. Again, there will be NO SERVICE at CPC on Nov. 1st. Faith Presbyterian is located at 913 University Drive. We will be providing Bus Service from CPC to Faith at 9:15 am and 10:30 am. The bus will return after the completion of lunch at Faith. It will make 2 trips back to accommodate everyone. Please join us in this wonderful worship experience!

Everest Starts Tonight!!
It’s may be Hot outside but a cold wind will be blowing into Central Presbyterian Church this July when the Everest VBS starts July 23rd! We’re looking forward to learning about God with our Bible Buddies Klymer, Cliff, Yeddy, Mallory, and Pike.
