End of Life Series Begins

I apologize for the late notice on this but Dr. Dan Festa began his End of Life Series this past Wednesday Night. The series will focus on the challenges of dying in America. It’s not too late to join though! The class is being held each Wednesday Night from 5:30pm to 7pm through October 6th in McElyea Hall. The meetings will begin with a lite supper at a nominal cost, and end well before dark. To sign up or for more information, call the church office. Feel free to invite anyone that you think may benefit from this information. We hope to see you there!

I should note I’ve updated the Worship Schedule page with a church event calendar that you can look at and subscribe to. The End of Life Series was listed there!

Need A Break From the Heat?

All are invited to join us next Sunday, August 29, at 6 p.m., in McElyea Hall for our Annual Ice Cream Social! This is the perfect opportunity to whip up a batch of your favorite homemade ice cream; or, you can pick up a quart of your favorite flavor or topping from the store. We’re having hamburgers & hot dogs, too! A sign up sheet has been placed on the bulletin board in McElyea Hall so you can let us know if you plan to bring something. Gloria Sumner will be our guest speaker that evening. She will share with us what’s going on in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County regarding the recycling program. We look forward to seeing you there!

10 A.M. Prayer Tradition

It was a tradition at Belair Presbyterian for the members to stop each day at 10 a.m. and pray for the members of the congregation and any other prayer concerns that they might have. Now that they have joined our family we are adopting this tradition. So set a calendar reminder and take a little time out of your day to pray together!

Help Us Help Neighbor To Neighbor!

The Annual Neighbor to Neighbor School Supply Distribution Will Be Held on August 10, 11, and 12, this year. Central has been asked to help support the School Supply Program again this year by collecting 150 three-ring binders. Binders may be placed on the round table in McElyea Hall. The deadline is August 4th. Please help us help Neighbor to Neighbor!
