Baobab Blast is Headed to CPC
This Sunday is the Opening of Baobab Blast, our Vacation Bible School, in cooperation with First Presbyterian Church-Pine Bluff!
The Baobab Blast curriculum is for children from 4 years old (Pre-K) to children entering the 7th grade. Rev. Jim Freeman, former CPC Co-pastor and current FPC-PB interim pastor, will be teaching an adult VBS as well! We’ll be teaching from 5:30pm to 7:30pm each night, Sunday thru Thursday. A light dinner and snacks will be provided! We are still looking for volunteers! If interested contact Laura Cosner, Laura Festa, Bubba VonTunglen, or Denise Mosley! We look forward to seeing everyone there!
PW Birthday Offering This Sunday
This Sunday we will be taking up the Annual Presbyterian Women Birthday Offering. From the PC(USA) website…
The offering funds up to five projects that are not included in ongoing General Assembly mission support, such as agricultural development, child care, community organization, criminal justice, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training, homelessness, literacy, violence and women’s concerns.

CPC Car Wash Big Success
The Young Adult Sunday School class, with an assist from the CPC youth, participated in a Vacation Bible School Fundraising Carwash this past Sunday. The group collected more than $300 dollars! Thanks to all those who gave time and money for our VBS!
Detmers Recent Prints Exhibit Now Open
CPC Member William (Bill) Detmers has an Exhibit at the Art & Sciecne Center for Southeast Arkansas that is now open to the public! It is 45 print-works mostly from 2009-2010. The exhibit runs from now till June 27th. For more info click the link below.
Youth Fundraiser Luncheon
A Youth fundraiser luncheon will be held May 16, following morning worship in place of our regular 3rd Sunday Fellowship Luncheon. This is your chance to take a break and let us do the cooking! The menu includes Spaghetti with all the trimmings. Plates are only $5 per person; $10 per family. We hope to see you there!!
Invitation to a Domino Group
You are formally invited to attend a domino group that meets at Central! They meet every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 1-3pm in the fellowship hall. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Preorder the Centennial DVD Slide Show UPDATED!
The DVD Slide Show that was shown during the Centennial Musical Gala Reception and the Centennial Luncheon this past weekend will be available for purchase at the price of $5. Please contact the church office or use the “Contact Us” link on the right to Pre Order. The deadline for orders is May 30th. Proceeds from the sale of the DVD’s will go toward Vacation Bible School. We hope to ship orders out as they come in!
