Holy Week starts next Sunday with our Palm Sunday Service. Holy Week continues with our Maundy Thursday Service at 6pm. This will be a small service with a soup/sandwich potluck meal. We will have 2 opportunities to worship on Good Friday. The Sanctuary will be open for quiet mediation from 11am till 2pm . Our Worship service will begin at 6pm. Our Easter Services will start at 8:00am with a Easter Breakfast. An Easter Egg hunt is happening at 9:00am. And our Easter Morning Cantata Service will take place at 11am. Our Lent schedule starts with our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on March 1st at 6pm. We’ll be holding our Ash Wednesday Service at 6pm on March 2nd. We hope to see you there!
We were able to raise over one hundred dollars and over one hundred breakfast food items during the Souper Bowl of Caring! We Donate our breakfast foods to the local school district and the monetary donations have been sent to Neighbor to Neighbor of Pine Bluff.
Central Presbyterian Church’s Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is Tues. Februrary 25th at 5:30 pm! $8 Per Person, $20 for a family. Bring the family for a heaping helping of Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, and all the fixings! Then come back on Wednesday for our Ash Wednesday service at 5:30 pm. Begin Lent with Central Presbyterian Church!
CPC has Christmas Ornaments available! The price is $5 and a display stand is available as well for $3. If you’re interested please contact the Church office. In the picture above the ornament is blue, but it is actually Purple. Also, on the actual ornament it says “Est. 1910” under Pine Bluff, AR
Our Choir is holding it’s Christmas Cantata on the Sunday of December 22nd. Our annual Christmas Eve. Service will be held on December 24th at 4:30 pm. We hope to see you at both events!
Trunk or Treat is October 26th at 5pm! We’ll have Hot Dogs, Candy, A Bounce House, and a lot more! Make sure you grab a friend, put on your costume, and head on over to Central for a great time! We’ll be collecting Canned Good’s for Neighbor to Neighbor of Pine Bluff. So help out the needy and grab some treats. We hope to see you there!
We have several upcoming events at CPC! Saturday May 11th the ladies of the church are headed back to Keo to eat at Charlottes and do some antiquing! Contact Laura Cosner if your are interested! Sunday June 2nd is Senior Sunday! We’ll be honoring our Graduating High School Seniors, Benjimen Neal and Brynne Massey. Finally on Saturday June 15th we’ll be taking a trip to Crenshaw Springs Waterpark in White Hall. If you are interested in joining us please let the church office know! That service will begin at 6pm. Bus service from CPC to Stuttgart will be available. The bus will leave at 5:15pm. Our Easter Services will start at 8:30am with a Easter Breakfast. This Sunday is our annual Christmas Cantata. In The Fullness of Time will be presented at 11am. The choir looks forward to performing this for everyone! Our Annual Christmas Eve Candle Light Service will take place at 3:30pm on Dec. 24th. It will be a lessons and Carols service. We hope you take the time during this holiday season to join us to celebrate Christ’s Birth.
The Annual Moravian Love Feast, our unofficial start of Advent, is planned for this Sunday, December 2nd, at 5 pm. The Love Feast is a tradition at Central. Members will bring sweet breads, soups, and sandwiches to be blessed and shared. Also, Hot Wassail, a warm spiced cider beverage, will be served. We gather as members of the family of God, and together we will seek God’s blessing for our community and our world.
