Shrove Tuesday!

Central Presbyterian Church’s Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is Tues. Februrary 25th at 5:30 pm! $8 Per Person, $20 for a family. Bring the family for a heaping helping of Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, and all the fixings! Then come back on Wednesday for our Ash Wednesday service at 5:30 pm. Begin Lent with Central Presbyterian Church!

Sunday, May 24th is Pentecost Sunday and we’ll be welcoming Lance Jones as our Guest Minster! We’ll also be taking up the Pentecost offering. Click Here to Give to the Pentecost Offering!

Sunday, May 31st is Youth Sunday. Our Youth and Youth Leaders are planning a wonderful service. You will not want to miss this time to see our youth in action as they lead our worship that day.

New Year Chili Luncheon! Postponed!

Chili-Logo-FINAL-WEB-31-200x300AHappy New Year! The Men’s Fellowship group will be holding our annual Chili Luncheon on UPDATE: Sunday January 25th after morning worship. We rescheduled due for to worship cancelation on the 11th. The 3rd Sunday fellowship luncheon will go on as scheduled. The cost will be $6 per person and $18 per family of 3 or more. To go orders will be available for purchase! The proceeds raised will go toward various projects around the church including painting the wooden fence around the building and it will also help fund the Men’s bi-annual retreat. We hope to see everyone there!

Spaghetti Fundraiser Lunch!

The Men’s Fellowship will be holding a Spaghetti Fundraiser Luncheon Sunday September 7th at Noon, following the morning worship service. Enjoy a wonder fellowship meal while helping out our Men’s group! They plan on using the funds raised for building repair and upkeep, and also their semi-annual Men’s Retreat. Cost will be $6.00 per person, $10.00 couple, $15.00 for a family of 3 or more. We hope to see everyone there!

Packed Sunday!!

This Sunday is going to be a busy one at Central Presbyterian Church! When our Normal Worship Service is over stick around for TWO Men’s Fundraisers. They will be hosting a Spaghetti Luncheon and a Car Wash Following Service. At 2pm the youth will be headed out to see Stuart Little at the Arts and Science Center! Then at 4:30pm come on back to the Fellowship Hall for a little Blue Moon Bingo, with fundsraised from this event going toward the playground fun! We hope to see everyone at all these events!

Men’s Retreat Fundraiser

Our Men’s Group is trying to raise funds for their Men’s Retreat to the Buffalo River this coming May. If you’d like to help we’re holding a fundraiser luncheon of Chicken and Dumplings this Sunday after worship. $7 per person and $20 for a family of 3 or more. If you are interested in joining our retreat, May 4-6th, the sign up sheet is in McElyea Hall. We are planning on having a Zip Line Tour, a Float on the Buffalo, and a worship service with Communion. A $50 deposit is due by April 1st.

 

Chili Luncheon 2012

This Saturday is our Annual Chili Luncheon from Noon to 4pm hosted by the Men of the Church. Tickets are available for carryout lunches for $6 at the church or from Laura Cosner, George Mosley, Dana Neal, Amber Poss, and Zac Cosner. You can also pay on Saturday at the church. Each Lunch includes A bowl of Chili, a small cup of cheese, a bag of Fritos, and a snack cake. If you dine in the whole family can eat for $18! Proceeds go to the Playground Fund. We hope to see you there!

The spruced up flower bed, cleaned up kitchen patio, crushed cans, and our new trees all look great! Your help is much appreciated!
