Tackle Hunger in Pine Bluff!

Souper2013

CPC’s Youth will again be participating this year in the Souper Bowl of Caring! More than 20 years ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that day, more than $90 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.

CPC’s Youth has raised over $500 for Neighbor to Neighbor of Pine Bluff over the last three years of the Souper Bowl of Caring! Neighbor to Neighbor will again be our charity recipient this year. We’ll be collecting can food items and monetary donations on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3rd after our worship service. Blue Moon Hymn Sing

hymn sing

All Are Invited to Join us for an evening of fun and fellowship on Sunday, January 29, at 5:00 p.m. This month’s Blue Moon program is a “hymn sing” followed by a fellowship meal featuring your favorite soups, salads, sandwiches, chips & dip, and desserts. This is the perfect opportunity to brush off a favorite recipe and share it with everyone. A sign up sheet has been placed on the bulletin board in McElyea Hall so that you can let us know if you plan to attend and what you would like to bring. The bus will be available so if you would like a ride, give the office a call and let us know. We hope to see you there!

Fellowship Luncheon this Sunday!

A montly tradition that sometimes doesn’t get enough attention here on the web is our monthly Fellowship Luncheon. It’s a traditional pot luck luncheon, that takes place every third Sunday of the month, and everyone is invited to stick around after our Worship Service for a fellowship meal. We’d love to see you this Sunday!
