Join us on February 16th following morning worship for our annual Youth Valentines Banquet. Our menu will be Spaghetti, meat sauce, green beans, salad and delicious desserts. Cost will be $6.00 per person, $10.00 couple, $15.00 family’s of 3 or more. February’s Fellowship Luncheon will be postponed.
The Session of Central Presbyterian Church has voted to Cancel the Worship Service for Sunday, Feb 9th, due to winter weather conditions. The previously scheduled Valentines Banquet will be postponed until Sunday, Feb 16th. We encourage everyone to take this time to enjoy your family and stay home. CPC’s Youth is participating again in the Souper Bowl of Caring! CPC’s Youth has raised over $650 for Neighbor to Neighbor of Pine Bluff over the last three years of the Souper Bowl of Caring! Neighbor to Neighbor will again be our charity recipient this year. We’ll be collecting can food items and monetary donations on Super Bowl Sunday, February 2nd after our worship service.
More than 20 years ago, the Souper Bowl of Caring began with a simple prayer from a single youth group: “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat.” Since that day, more than $90 million has been raised for local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement that is transforming the time around Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and serving.

Overwhelmed by the thought of holiday gift wrapping? Let us do the work at Wrap-it-Up! On Saturday, December 14 & 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Central Presbyterian Church, you can bring your items to the Youth/Activities building to have them wrapped. The price list is as follows:
Small Gifts-$3.00—–CD’s, Books, jewelry, candles.
Medium Gifts-$5.00—-Shirt sized boxes, board games, dolls, calendars, and shoe boxes.
Large Gifts-$10.00—-Large clothes boxes, coats, small kitchen appliances.

The Annual Moravian Love Feast, our unofficial start of Advent, is planned for this Sunday, December 1st, at 5:30pm. The Love Feast is a tradition at Central. Members will bring sweet breads, soups, and sandwiches to be blessed and shared. Also, Hot Wassail, a warm spiced cider beverage, will be served. We gather as members of the family of God, and together we will seek God’s blessing for our community and our world.

CPC will be baking up good times with our Annual Presbyterian Women Bake Sale!! This Saturday, November 23rd, we’ll be selling a variety of baked goods, all starting at 9 a.m.! We’ll also have an assortment of books and puzzles available for purchase! Proceeds from this bake sale will go toward PW mission projects throughout the year! We hope to see you there.
Our Annual Men’s Chili Lunch will be Saturday Nov. 9th from 11am till 2pm! We will have done in or carry out! We hope to see you there!
